Holy moly, I read this book fast!
I wondered when Ilyos would get his book and I'm so glad to have been able to read it. I felt like the guy was misunderstood/slightly hated because of his rashness in the previous books. Though, after getting a little bit of knowledge of what the Liderc did to him, no wonder he's a little cray-cray.
This caveman of an alien does exactly as we expect now - picked up Zoe and claimed her as "his". He's growly and protective of the slim human woman, though he does end up pretty much kidnapping her. It doesn't help that Zoe is still afraid of her shadow after her own time with the Liderc and having been kidnapped from Earth, where she was successful, doesn't help. I love that she's able to be feisty and sassy even as she struggles to come to terms with being on an alien planet. She also stands up for Ilyos when he needs someone to the most.
Absolute wonderful and beautiful story from Hattie again! It was an easy read, and I enjoyed every second.
