This book was written by Charmaine Ross, and is the first book in the series.
I think this was a very interesting and different take on how a person may end up on a different planet. One of my favorites, too.
During a serious solar flare, medical scientist Adele is working in the lab, turning off electronics for safety, and ends up being surrounded by red when the solar flare hits. She's transported to the middle of a burning field, and chased by what look like demons. Honestly, the description of them would also make me think of demons, so that's fair.
The world she lands on has been strife with disease, killing off the species' omegas so they haven't been able to reproduce. It's not mentioned how long their lifespan is, but I'm assuming it's longer than humans. Anyways, turns out that in this new environment, Adele is an omega. And she's going to end up with not one, not two, but THREE alphas. Hot damn.
Stef, Rhif, and Jet are all hot and I love that they are each a little different in their reaction/interactions with Adele. They all have similarities, of course, but the fact that the author managed to get in the little details about how they treat her is fantastic. Part of that is also being attentive during the chapters that are from their viewpoints. I also like the added part of them being fated to be together. I don't want to give any of that away, but it's very interesting how it appears for them.
I'm intrigued by how her body innately seems to recognize what she is in the new environment and sends her into the heat. Adele refers to the feeling as if it's a whole new person that is residing inside her body at the same time, but it's more like a nature of herself that she's never had before because Earth is not like that. The three men are also very hot and I love how they're protective of Adele. I'm glad that they do eventually start listening to her too, because she does have a name and story, just like they do.
The story was a bit rushed, but nothing too crazy since it was definitely hormone/pheromone driven. The way it unfolded made sense even if it did happen quickly. I kind of wish we would have had a chance to see Adele helping more in the lab on the planet and doing some healing things, but it was a great book.
