Book Review of "Bonfire Night"

Bonfire Night by HB Jacks

Read and finished on 10/31/2023 with review on 11/01/2023

Holy hotness, Jacks does it again.
This time, it's strictly M/M between a super-hot demon and a human.

First, I absolutely love the tension and hate that starts off between Ash and Guy. It quickly dissipates in the face of adversity and being banged up, but it's that kind of love-hate tension that makes you giggle a little bit. Or I do.

Second, the build-up of the story to the climax is just amazing. You're kept looped into what's going on, because it is action packed, but it's not so packed that you can't follow what's happening. The progression of the story feels natural, so much so that it was a surprise when I came to the end of the book.

This book is definitely faster paced than some of Jacks other books, but it was still a fabulous read. I enjoyed getting to find out more about Ash and his dealings as a demon, but I also really enjoyed Guy's background and getting to know where he comes from. Definitely a great pair! Together they're able to hold off what would have essentially been the apocalypse for humans. Love conquers all!

Great book to read on Halloween, too.
Spice: 5/5
